All proceeds from the picnic will benefit local children who are suffering from life-threatening or critical illnesses
Judd’s Pay it Forward Picnic is a nonprofit organization that raises money for children facing critical, life-threatening illnesses. Our mission is to ease the financial burden on families of children with these tragic illnesses so that they can focus on what matters most– spending time together and creating lifelong memories. This year, we are hosting our first-ever community picnic to raise essential funds to support medical costs, travel, and family needs for two families within the community. By bringing people together in compassion and purpose, we help give families the space to hope, heal, and hold on to joy during the most difficult times.
Anderson "Judd" Bryan was born January 14, 2015, in Paris, Texas.
Judd was a proud Wildcat at Aikin Elementary, where he loved school activities, especially football and basketball games, enjoying sour candies and nachos from the concession.
He was well-known for his quirky sense of humor and for his encyclopedic knowledge of history. He could often be found researching significant American events and dreamed of becoming a Navy pilot one day.
In August 2023, while on a family vacation in Taos, New Mexico, Judd began having symptoms that led his parents to take him to Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, and he was eventually transferred to Medical City Children's Hospital of Dallas. Judd was diagnosed with a tumor in his spinal cord, and later learned that the tumor was malignant.
After a courageous battle, Judd passed away on September 12, 2024, leaving behind family and friends who love and miss him daily.
